Aujourd'hui, Harry Van Der Kamp est reconnu internationalement comme une des plus importantes basses dans les répertoires solo en en ensembles du 14eme au 18eme siècle. Il se produit dans de nombreux opéras de la période baroque (de Peri, Agazzari, Monteverdi, Cavalli, Cesti, Purcell, Meder, Rameau, et Haendel) et dans plusieurs opéras plus tardifs de Mozart, Rossini, Berlioz et Hindemith. Il a en particulier un vaste répertoire de basse solo dans les oeuvres des 17-18eme siècles, et a chanté de nombreux oratorios et cantates de cette période. Au cours de sa carrière, Harry Van Der Kamp à travaillé avec des chefs comme Nikolaus Harnoncourt (Bach, Mozart, Haendel), Hans Vonk (Stravinsky, Weill), Sergiu Commissiona (Rossini, Verdi), Gustav Leonhardt (Bach, Monteverdi, Biber, Purcell), Ivan Fischer (Monteverdi, Zelenka, Schütz), Bruno Weill (Haydn, Schubert), Frans Brüggen (Bach, Schütz), William Christie (Monteverdi, Haendel), Ton Koopman (Bach, Monteverdi, Mozart), Reinbert de Leeuw (Kagel, Milhaud, Hindemith, Schönberg), René Jacobs (Cavalli, Cesti, Monteverdi), Alan Curtis (Stradella, Bach, Haendel) et avec des ensembles tels que The Hilliard Ensemble, Musica Antiqua Köln, Les Arts Florissants, Tragicomedia, La Petite Bande, The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Tafelmusik et The Huelgas Ensemble. De 1974 à 1994, il a été un des membres du Netherlands Chamber Choir, dont il était aussi le conseiller artistique pour le répertoire du début 17eme, et du 20eme siecle. The ensemble's concerts met with great success at the main festivals for early music in Europe. Harry van der Kamp is a Professor at the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen, Germany, and gives frequent masterclasses in various European countries.
